IMJIR is located in Moodalkatte, nestled in the serene coastal region of Karnataka, in the town of Kundapura. Its strategic location, just 500 meters from the Kundapura railway station, ensures excellent accessibility for students, researchers, and visitors traveling from various parts of the country. Kundapura, a charming coastal town, is renowned for its pristine beaches, including Kodi Beach, Maravanthe Beach, and Hoode Beach, which provide breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. The nearest airport is Mangalore International Airport (IXE) located at Bajpe, Mangalore, approximately 85–90 km from the institute.

  • Route: Mangalore → NH-66 (coastal highway) → Kundapura → Moodlakatte.
